Membership means real friendships, real service, and real impact. We'd love for you to be part of it.

MEMBERSHIP

What membership looks like

Hands-on service

Pack holiday baskets. Serve meals. Collect diapers. Staff events. JSL service is tangible, local, and immediate — you'll see the difference you're making in real time.

Real connection

Monthly meetings, committee work, and shared service build friendships that go beyond the meeting room. Many JSL members say the women they met here are among their closest friends.

Leadership opportunities

JSL offers real opportunities to lead whether on committees, events, board roles, or working with community partnerships.

FAQS

Common Questions

  • JSL asks for a 5-year membership commitment and a minimum of 30 service hours per year (September through June). In practice, hours add up quickly — committee work, fundraisers, service drives, and monthly meetings all count. Most members find the time flies.

  • Twice a year — in September and January. If you reach out outside of those windows, we'll add you to our interest list and follow up when the next intake opens.

  • Monthly meetings are held at 7pm on the second Tuesday of the month, September through June in Concord. We start with a social half-hour — a chance to catch up before the agenda begins. Location details are shared with members upon joining.

  • Email membership@jslconcord.org — we'll take it from there
